MMMMMM

homemade pizza and peeps and an Easter basket.
I made 4 pizzas today just because. I also bought some candy at the store, and I went to church and my mom made me an Easter basket and gave it to me early cause she's not going to see me on Easter Sunday.
OHHHHH the delicious loot in there! I got to see my adorable little nephew and me and my mom taught him the cutest little trick ever!

He's so adorable when he does it!

Me and my husband went to the mattress store again and traded mattresses. The new one comes tomarrow. I have been sleeping like a rock while my husband says he hasn't slept for a week. (even though everytime I woke up he apeared to be asleep...) Aparently it wasn't restful enough for him though. So anyways, The new mattress comes between 9 and 12, I leave for work at 9:30, the bedframe comes at 2. I'll have a whole new bed when I come home from work!!!!

Anyways, while we were shopping for a new mattress, the dog decided to eat an entire chicken carcass, skin, guts, and bones out of the garbage can. everything! I had just bought a rottiserie chicken, took the meat off, put the meat in the fridge, and threw the rest out. We came home to a suspiciously guilty looking dog. I told my husband that he's going to die,.. he's going to bleed to death internaly,... we're going to have a dead dog by tonight or tomarrow..... then I took a shower and left for church. I came home to learn my husband looked online to find out what to do if a dog eats cooked chicken bones (the raw ones are fine cause they're not so brittle and break into shards), and he cooked him up a pot of rice cause that's what it said to do. so puppy has been lazing around trying to digest his delicious tasting bones, and his bellyfull of rice. He was so tired, he hardly begged for the candy we were eating... poor puppy! I hope the rice works!

anyways, that was my day today. I also went shopping for groceries.

So I'll go to bed now and enjoy my nice caccoon of a bed tonight for the last night cause were getting a new one tomarrow! and my bedframe! and I only work 3-4 1/2 hours tomarrow! and I get Sunday and Monday off! excitments in the air! can you smell it? I can and I can feel it too! I feel like running around in the amber waves of grain in my backyard! but I might step on glass or bird poop or get a picker in my toe, or one of the million aphids and bugs in my yard might land on me... Guess I'll only imagine it's a green lawn with dandilions and bunnies and Easter eggs hiding all over!

Easter is almost here! and my mom gave me an Easter basket with Easter grass in it! I had to smell it as soon as I was alone with it! Smells better than even the candy! Just like I remember! It must be Easter!

Anyways, goodnight to you, and don't let the bed bugs bite! Or the aphids!
Trisha.
P.S. I'll be dreaming my backyard of brown weeds I call amber waves of grain is like the perfect picture if Easter complete with lush green lawn, bunnies, Easter eggs, and the dewey morning sun shining softly trying to get up.... crisp cool air of the morning just like when my dad would open the big slider door in the early morning before we all got up and 28 degree air blew in so crisp and cool-HEY! did you know I do that now??????? I do. anyways, goodnight. ZZZZZZZZZZZ....zZ..zzzz.ZZZZZ....

one hundred seventy seven dollars!

We brought all the scrap metal I've been piling up even though every day I hear a complaint about how we should just stick it by the side of the road and put an add on craigslist..... from my husband. He finaly helped me load it up and brought me down there.

It was quite the process getting it all weighed and we ended up making $177 on it. nice huh? I asked my husband "why did you put it in your pocket? isn't it mine?" He said "No it's our's." So now even though I had to endure complaints every day about my "junk", I now also have to share it. Oh well. at least I know it was worth something like I always was telling him! :-)

But $177! sheesh! who would have thought! The copper brought in the most of it all. They pay $1 lb and I had $121.60 worth of it! Wow! I'm still amazed!

I've been having to work late at work staying after to finish things so have today, and tomarrow off, will work saturday for lunch, and have Sunday and Monday off. nice huh? I think so. Thats almost 5 days!

I have been cleaning today at my house cause I've not felt like cleaning all week with having to stay later at work all week, so I'm playing catchup and it isn't difficult at all. I just have to mop and dust then wipe down the kitchen and bathrooms.
laundry, sweeping, dishes, picking up and washing out the microwave are already done! and bonus, we got rid of the pile of scrap metal!

anyways, hope your days going as great as mine! that is if your cleaning! If not, hope you finish today feeling as accomplished in whatever your doing as I am!

measurements

I got a delicious recipe from my boss the chef. It's for wild rice chicken casserole and it is delishious, and it serves 45 people. It is in pounds, ounces, pints and quarts. it also has teaspoons, and tablespoons as in 4 fluid ounces, and 3 tablespoons of butter.   ?????!!!?????? What?????!!???

I guess I should have tried harder to learn math in school! I'll have fun cutting the recipe down to serve 2.....

It also says in the directions: "To enhance the food presentation it is our standard that all menu items are finished with a colorful garnish. All garnishes are to be prepared ahead of time and served in accordance with the standardized ...Garnishing Program. Use only garnishes that are edible and durable enough to withstand hot or cold tempuratures..."

What will I do? I am going to skip this step. I hope it won't change the flavor.  :-P

Sheesh! such strict laws they have to follow just to serve some food! But that recipe is so wonderful and the 2 times I've had it I've liked it. So now I can make it at home! after I get a headache trying to figure out the math!

My new mattress is wonderful! I slept pretty well on it and only woke up a few times in the night and woke up on my side! Such wonderful changes! I sleep more and it's apparently comfortable and feels like I'm on clouds when I lay on my back! And I will only have to get used to sleeping in a smaller space! I guess I used to stretch out all over on our cal king bed!

I cut open the old mattress today to see why it failed. I can't tell. but Cruiser loved it! He snorted and groaned and rolled all over that thing and sniffed it like it was the most facinating thing to smell! He was so funny!

I am going to get ready for bed now. these late nights are getting to me and I'll become a night owl again and the bags under my eyes will never go away! I always wake up with the sun so I gotta race it to bed so I can get close to 8 hours!

Goodnight!

YES!!!!!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!

I have a bed! a mattress, 2 nightstands, and a platform bed frame! A bed! I'm so happy! I can sleep tonight!

I'll have to take pictures when we get the frame in about a week. If they had the boxes of the frame at the store, I'd have loaded it in my car, but they'll deliver it for free and set it up too!

I only had to work 2.5 hours today because I was almost out of hours for this week. I said "Oh dang it." without any feeling cause I was excited that I'd get a Saturday almost off! Does that make me horrible?

We decided we'd get a mattress today cause we'd have time to. I didn't expect to find a frame too!

Squishy memory foam pillow top!

The new bed frame with nightstands will take up the entire wall except 1/2 inch.
I hope it fits!

Cruiser's exhausted from all this shopping!

Here's the roof getting done! We're still waiting for the final coat for the foam to be applied.

Cruiser's been having fun following 2 baby birds around trying to smell them. He looks so cute, but I'm terrified he'll try pick them up and hurt them accidently so I try keep him in and have to babysit him when he goes outside.

All these pictures are of the same bird. This one's not as scared. The other tries to move away fast but it moves like a little cute baby and I feel so bad when it trips so I stay away from them and try keep the dog away.

They're cute baby starlings. I think that's the name of the black bird with a dark yellow beak. They have such hard working parents! both babies are pudgy! I just want to pick them up and hold them but won't let myself and just look but not touch- I don't like to interrupt family time which happens every 1/2 minute or so. Very attentive parents who are constantly feeding them with every visit and one always stays on guard watching. it's so cute!

Well, I'm going to go finish the laundry. We had to buy a new mattress pad cause we have a queen bed now instead of california king, and I'm washing the sheets and blankets so we can start out fresh with the new bed.
So exciting! Newness all over again! Feels like Christmas! I can't wait till we get new sheets cause then they'll fit but I'll have to do extra folding tonight when I put cal king sheets on cause my husband wants to buy his sheets from a particular store he says will be better quality for a better price than Target. So Tuesday Morning soon it will be. maybe we can even go there on Tuesday morning!

So I can't wait for the dryer to get done so I can put those sheets on so I can go to bed and sleep! The sales guy said the mattress will probably take up to 30 days to break in, but I'm sure it's better than our old mattress already!

Goodnight!

Peeling and complaints

My face and scalp are peeling! EEEEWWWW! I am grossed out cause I have work today and I'll have to face all my residents with dead skin flapping in the breeze. EEEEWW!

I have been working all day the last 2 days. I was just too tired so I didn't write. But I'm still alive!

I have been just lazing around lately and I think it's the effects of our horrible mattress catching up to me cause I have been working a lot more, and not getting enough deep sleep even though I get at least 8 hours at night.

I find myself waking up all night long either changing position, trying to massage life back into my overly numb dead feeling arms, or trying to find a way to lay that I can breathe, but doesn't hurt my back. I have been finding myself waking up on my belly the last couple of mornings which is odd cause my neck used to always be so sore when I'd wake up like that, but it's the best position now or my back hurts worse! Ohh well. it's time for a new mattress I think.

Many times as I try fall asleep trying to relax the cramps in my back I think I should just spread out a blanket on the floor.... but then I tell myself just be thankful you have a mattress and your hip bones at least don't hurt from it like the floor would cause. So I just keep changing positions till my back don't hurt and eventually fall asleep.

My roof is done except the final coating on the patio! finally! I am strangely looking foward to my next weekened off cause I have plans to go through the treasures in the garage with my husband! I just figure the sooner we go through the junk, the sooner The largest peice of work will be done. I just wish my house was painted already! Then I could just start moving in the things I want to keep!

It seems there are all these plans and nothing gets done around here.

Oh well. It will all be over soon I'm sure. I just wish I had cookies to eat while I wait. but I don't have chocolate chips...
Have a good day!

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz....

I'm tired but I had fun today.

Me and my husband went to about 20 different stores all over the valley looking for a bedframe we liked. We tried out some mattresses and saw lots of cool things we never knew existed.

We have been looking for a long time for a REAL platform bed. come to find out, "everyone" as the salespeople put it wants a mock platform bed. but I call it a frame with the foot board cut down. I think a TRUE platform bed is a sheet of wood that carries through completely from the foot of the bed to the headboard. and sticks out from under the mattress a ways. more than the 2 inches the bed frames they carry have.

one higher-end place told us they can make us a custom one for $11,000! (not to be confused with $1,000 or $1,100.) just think! I shouldn't have even had to think twice! ....I had to go home and measure first..... not. we just told the lady we'd see first if we could find one already made.

THESE ONES WE FOUND ONLINE:

This one we found at Copenhagen- not quite what we were looking for, but my husband liked it. The sales lady said it had "floating nightstands" this one has a true footboard and frame thats shortened. not a true platform...
We both liked this one. The picture really doesn't look nice. I should have taken one wih my camara instead.
this one was only about a foot off the floor though... and no drawers...

Yes distractions are cool- this was a cool bench/couch I saw... it had just the charecteristics I would like in a bed frame...

behind the couch part, there was a cool wood shelving unit also off the ground.
We finally decided this one will do.. it has the drawers we were hoping for under it,

and the bench on the foot of the bed. the only problem is we can't see it in person, only online, but we found a company who will order it for us. So we need to think about it a bit longer cause we can't return it if it's only 1/2 a foot off the floor... and my husband says it looks like the drawers are made cheap just from zooming in at the picture...
Anyways, we had fun. we ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A and ate supper at Denny's.
now I am washing clothes and our sheets and blankets cause I start work again tomarrow. It feels like I shouldn't work there anymore. I never feel like going back after my 4 days off. I just feel like sleeping and lazing around the house. but I guess it wouldn't be "work" then right? I sure like my paycheck, and am always being encouraged there that I'm doing a great job so why don't I want to go back after my weekeneds?

I'm getting exited at the thought I will have a real bed soon! I tried out the most perfect bed that just felt absolutely gorgeous and I could have fallen asleep right there with people walking all around me except I had to get up so my husband could try it and he said it didn't feel nice. So HHHMMPHHH! We'll just have to buy 2 different ones and we each can have our own rooms! Not. and we did find a mattress we agreed on a couple weeks ago but I kinda liked that brand we tried out today! It felt cheap though like it wouldn't last too long... oh well I guess we'll have to splurge for comfort we both agree on! But I can't wait!

I got so burned at the Sunday school picnic yesterday. I burned my eyes too. I'll have lots of fun tomarrow at work trying to convince everyone I'm just tanned and not burned cause that's what my husband told me about an hour before we left the picnic when I told him I was burned and we should go home... But I had lots of fun. I drank 2 pops and ate 2 cookies and 2 brownie bites and a burger and 3 pickle slices just because and a licorice. I visited and sunbathed cause it was too freezing cold to sit in the shade without a jacket and I didn't bring one... So now I'll have a farmers tan. but I had fun!

Oh well. I'm not the only one who got burned there!
Well, gotta go check the dryer to see if the buzzer is telling the truth that the clothes are indeed dry!
Write more later!

waiting............

I am waiting for my husband to get up so we can go to the Sunday School Picnic!
I took a shower, and did my hair.

I don't know if it's a little girls style, but I did it up that way anyways.
do you know how many pictures I had to take till I either didn't get my face or got all my hair in there????
Look and apreciate all the hard work that went into making this picture. I don't know if I ever had my hair up this fancy shmancy before, but it is now, and I put it up wet and put so much hairspray in it's crunchy!

Well, I was going to load more pictures (cropped of course) but now it won't let me so sorry! just pretend you see everything!

I need to go get some water, camping chairs, and the seeder we're borrowing to my sister. We are going to the picnic!
Bye!
